The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet Is Back

What happened in 1971? Apollo 14 landed on the moon, James Taylor and Bob Dylan soared to the top of the billboard charts and everyone rushed home to see the Mary Tyler Moore Show at the end of the day. It was also the last year we saw the Mercedes-Benz drop-top, four-seater S-Class in the lineup--until now. Hitting dealership lots in the next few months, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet retains that iconic open-air feel, all while introducing a substantial amount of power and fancy features.

Even the base model carries significant performance abilities, courtesy of its 4.6-liter V8 engine--which pushes out an impressive 449 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. If you really want to feel the wind in your hair, there is always the 577-hp and 664 lb-ft of torque powered 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine as well. That's enough power to take you from 0 to 60mph in 3.9 seconds.

Beyond all that dynamism are innovative quirks like neckwarmers, automatic climate control and 12 sensors that measure items like solar radiation levels and dew point to help you stay safe and at ease.
